Virtual Reality Research Program

The CAVE is a virtual reality facility in which you can walk into a model of the human heart, explore proteins the size of a human, look at a 3D reconstruction of the Catalina mountains, enjoy 3D art and much more. It is a half a million facility which is not available in every university. It provides a new way of visualizing and manipulating data that is closer to they way humans interact - in three dimensions.

The Computer Science department is looking for students who are interested in working on research projects realted to Virtual Reality, HCI, Vision, etc. If you are interested in learning more, or would like to get a tour of the CAVE at the University of Arizona campus, please contact Kate Spriggs at ekaterina AT taralova.net.
